Marty Schupak has been coaching youth sports for 25 years.
He has coached over 5,000 kids in youth athletics. Many of his former players
have gone on to play in high school and beyond. Many have received athletic
college scholarships. Coach Schupak has coached children in baseball,
basketball and soccer. He has served on many leagues’ boards of directors and
is a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association.
Marty began coaching after being unhappy with the way his
oldest son’s Little League coach would run his practices. He investigated the sports coaching
field and went to numerous practices around the country observing successful
coaches. The one common element he found was that there was zero wasted time
and all the players were always doing something without any standing
around. When he became a
coach he followed the same formula. He found that his players loved coming to
his practices and this led to success on the field. As he became more and more
successful, he put his techniques in a series of videos which have been viewed
by millions of coaches and players around the world.
Thousands of youth baseball coaches have been trained at his
clinic How To Run A Youth Baseball Practice. He is the founder and president of
the Youth Sports Club, a group dedicated to improving coaching and youth sports
practices. His web site www.YouthSportsClub.com, is one of the most popular
resources for youth coaches and parents.
He also authored eight books including the
popular young adult Cliff Vermont series. He received a bachelor's degree from
Boston University in 1975 and a master's degree in physical education from
Arizona State University in 1978. Schupak lives in Valley Cottage, New York.
This site will be devoted to everyday issues in
youth sports as well as how youth coaches and parents can run the most
stimulated practices for players. This site will make all of Marty Schupak's
items available for the youth coach and parent. But keep in mind that any of
Marty Schupak's products should already be available in your local library free
of charge.
